Gjiri Shen Vasilit ne gadishullin e Karaburunit ishte i panjohur për banoret e zonës, për shkak te mungesës se transportit detare. Por dite e fundit qytetaret kane nxituar te prenotojne jahtet, peshkarexhat apo edhe velierat për te pushuar ne këtë gji. Fundjava ka qene e populluar ne këtë zone, për shkak se njerëzit tentojnë ti largohen fluksit te masë te pushuesve ne vijën me te frekuetruar te Vlorës. Gjiri i Shen Vasilit ndodhet përballë qytetit te Vlorës me një gjatësi prej 300 metrash. Fundjava e pare pas lehtësimit te moratoriumit te skafeve ka bere qe ky gji te mbushet nga mjetet detare ku nuk kane munguar as peshkarexhat qe kane sjelle peshkun e freskët për pushuesit. Kjo zone konsiderohet tërësisht e virgjër, pasi përgjatë vijës bregdetare te saj ka vetëm një lokal qe ofron shërbimin kafeteri dhe restorant. Për te shkuar ne këtë gji nuk ka një rruge automobilistike, ndaj rruga detare është e vetmja mundësi për te pushuar ne këtë zone.
