Nga Shën Vasili ne Bunec , Shën Vasil është fshati i pare qe ndesh, duke udhëtuar nga Saranda drejt Vlorës

Ky fshat nuk dihet pse mori emrin e Shen Vasilit, qe katoliket e quanin Shën Vlashi dhe qe sipas historiografisë fetare ka lindur ne vitin 329 pas Krishtit, ne një familje te shquar ortodokse.

Sot aty është rigjallëruar turizmi hotelier, qe konkurron me plazhet buze detit, brezaret me agrume dhe ullinj te shoqërojnë ne gjithë gjatësinë bregdetare. Vetëm 2 km larg komunës se Lukovës shtrihet plazhi i Bunecit, me përroin me ujë te kulluar qe derdhet drejt ne Jon. Buneci është plazhi ditor me i frekuentuar për pushimet ditore, për Sarandën e Gjirokastrën. Autobusë te shumte udhëtojnë sidomos ne fundjave, ne ketë destinacion. Por freskia qe vjen nga hija e ullinjve dhe era e luginës, është një mundësi e mire për te provuar turizmin me çadra. Kur mbërrin ne Bunec, rralle here vendasit lënë pa te treguar me krenari, se ne kohen e mbretit Zog, aty ka qene një port. Madje edhe sot, vazhdon te jete e regjistruar si pike portuale, por nuk ka ende licence.
