Durrësi, zona me e madhe bregdetare ne vend, e ka çelur sezonin turistik thuajse pa marre asnjë mase. Veç pastrimit pjesërisht te rërës, nuk është vendosur asnjë tualet publik, ndërkohë qe për rojet bregdetare as qe behet fjale. Pushuesit qe po e frekuentojnë Durrësin prej afro një muaji, ankohen për situatën qe kane gjetur ne bregdet. Mungesën e investimeve, drejtues te Bashkise e kane justifikuar me mosmarrëveshjet ne Këshillin Bashkiak dhe miratimin me vonese te buxhetit. Megjithatë, pavarësisht problemeve te shumta, kryebashkiaku Vangjush Dako u ka bere thirrje pushuesve t'i drejtohen serish zonës me te madhe bregdetare te vendit. Çelja e sezonit ne Durrës është shoqëruar me një sere aktivitetesh sportive. Plazhi i Durrësit gjate viteve te fundit frekuentohet kryesisht nga shqiptaret e Kosovës dhe ato te Maqedonisë.
